Air Serbia claim form: what to enter and attach

Short answer: prepare the full itinerary, PNR, 13-digit ticket number, operating-carrier details, disruption timeline, passenger data and bank information before opening Air Serbia's online claim form. Air Serbia says the form is intended for Air Serbia-operated flights, is available in Serbian and English and can expire after about 20 minutes. Submit fixed compensation, ticket reimbursement, care expenses and baggage issues under clearly separated headings.

Check your case in the form

Enter your route, date and type of disruption. We will check whether your case qualifies for a claim under EU 261/2004 or UK261.

Step 1 of 813% completed

What happened to your flight?

Claim up to €600 for a delayed or cancelled flight.

Choose the situation that applies to your flight:

A complete first submission matters particularly for a Serbia-procedure claim. Official guidance gives passengers 90 days to complain to the carrier and gives Air Serbia 60 days to reply after receiving a complete complaint.

Form details and links were verified on 13 August 2026.

Select the correct claim category

Air Serbia's claims page separates problems concerning flights, baggage and additional services. Choose the category that matches the primary event, then describe other related remedies without hiding their separate calculations.

ProblemUseful category or treatment
Delay, cancellation or denied boardingflight-related complaint
Refund of cancelled transportflight/refund request with unused ticket details
Meals, hotel or transferexpense reimbursement linked to disruption
Delayed, lost or damaged checked bagbaggage claim with PIR and tag
Paid seat, lounge or unprovided optionancillary-service complaint
Charter-service delayAir Serbia directs the passenger to the contracting travel agency

Do not put a damaged suitcase into a generic delay narrative. Baggage has written-notice requirements and evidence that differ from fixed passenger compensation.

Confirm Air Serbia operated the flight

The claim page states that the online process is for flights operated by Air Serbia. A JU marketing number does not prove that fact. Read the e-ticket line that says “operated by.”

Three structures must be distinguished:

  1. Air Serbia-operated flight: submit the passenger-rights complaint to Air Serbia.
  2. Codeshare operated by another airline: the actual operator usually handles fixed compensation.
  3. Air Serbia wet lease: current Air Serbia guidance covers specified JU-numbered services using partner aircraft and crew, so follow the carrier's published route rather than judging by livery.

A refund can still involve the ticket issuer even when another airline operated the disrupted sector. Keep ticket repayment and fixed compensation as separate requests if different entities are responsible.

Use the Air Serbia operating-carrier guide when the itinerary contains partner names.

Prepare the identifiers first

Create a small text file containing:

  • booking reference or PNR;
  • 13-digit e-ticket number, often beginning with Air Serbia's 115 stock when it issued the ticket;
  • flight date, route and number;
  • original and replacement schedule;
  • actual final-arrival time;
  • full passenger names exactly as ticketed;
  • email, telephone and postal address;
  • chosen legal basis;
  • amount requested under each remedy;
  • bank-account holder, IBAN where applicable and SWIFT/BIC.

Copying from this prepared record reduces spelling errors and protects against the form timeout. Save attachments with short descriptive filenames such as ticket-passenger-name.pdf and hotel-receipt-belgrade.pdf.

Write the factual narrative in chronological order

A useful description answers six questions without rhetoric:

  1. What transport was confirmed?
  2. Which sector was disrupted and who operated it?
  3. What did Air Serbia communicate, and when?
  4. How and when did the passenger reach the final destination?
  5. What reason did the carrier give?
  6. Which precise remedies and amounts are requested?

For example, do not write only “My flight was delayed seven hours, please compensate me.” State that a one-booking EU-origin itinerary was due at the final airport at a particular time, arrived when a door opened at another time and was therefore late by a calculated duration. If relying on cancellation, give the first-notice timestamp and replacement offered.

Name the correct legal geography

JourneyClaim wording should begin with
Air Serbia departure from an EU/EEA airportEU261 and the complete protected itinerary
Air Serbia departure from SerbiaSerbian passenger legislation and Air Serbia's notice
Air Serbia departure from the UKUK261
Flight to or from CanadaCanadian APPR where relevant
Cancellation or major change to US transportUS DOT refund protection where the passenger rejects alternatives

Avoid claiming “EU261 applies worldwide to Air Serbia.” It does not. Air Serbia is a Serbian carrier, so an inbound third-country journey needs another basis unless it began within EU261 territory on one protected booking.

The Air Serbia legal-regime guide helps formulate this section accurately.

Separate every amount

Use a compact calculation table in the narrative or attachment:

RequestAmountEvidence
Fixed compensationEUR amount per named passengerroute, delay, notice and cause
Ticket reimbursementexact unused faree-ticket receipt and passenger choice
Alternative transportinvoice amountunsuccessful rerouting contact and new ticket
Care expensesreceipt totalitemised meal, hotel and transfer invoices
Ancillary refundpaid pricereceipt and proof service was not supplied

Do not add these items and label the result “compensation.” A clear breakdown makes partial payment easier to identify and dispute. Currency conversions should state the transaction date and source rather than using an unexplained rounded figure.

Attach evidence that proves the contested fact

Recommended documents include the e-ticket receipt, all boarding passes, original itinerary, cancellation or delay notices, Air Serbia messages, replacement ticket, arrival evidence and itemised receipts. A booking confirmation proves travel was planned; it does not prove the eventual cause or arrival time.

For denied boarding, add written confirmation of the refusal, check-in evidence and travel documents. For downgrade, retain both cabin assignments and the sector price breakdown. For baggage, include the PIR, baggage tag, photographs, inventory and written claim.

If a document is unavailable, explain why and identify who holds it. Do not fabricate an arrival record or alter a receipt. Ask Air Serbia to produce operational evidence within its control.

Several passengers on one booking

List each affected traveller with ticket number and requested fixed amount. One contact person may coordinate the submission, but Air Serbia can request authorisation for another adult or require payment details linked to the entitled passenger.

For children, use the ticketed name and attach proof of the accompanying adult's authority if requested. Reward tickets can be commercially available tickets within passenger-rights protection; disclose that points were used and keep the tax receipt.

After clicking submit

Save the case number, confirmation email, submitted text and attachments. Take a screenshot if the portal does not generate a downloadable copy. Do not create repeated claims simply because a response is slow; duplicate files can split evidence and produce inconsistent narratives.

For Serbian procedure, the 60-day response period starts when Air Serbia receives a complete complaint. If the carrier asks for a missing ticket or bank record, answer promptly and preserve that exchange. After the complete period expires without a satisfactory answer, eligible cases can be referred to the Serbian Civil Aviation Directorate, which supervises compliance but does not itself pay a private award.

If the answer refuses compensation, follow the rejected-claim response guide rather than resubmitting the same paragraph.

FAQ

Can I submit the Air Serbia form in English?

Yes. Air Serbia states that its claims form is available in Serbian and English. Use concise factual wording and retain a copy of everything entered.

Why should I prepare before opening the form?

Air Serbia warns that the online process can expire after about 20 minutes. Having identifiers, text, attachments and bank details ready reduces lost work.

Can I claim for a partner-operated JU flight through Air Serbia's form?

Not automatically. Check the actual operating carrier. A codeshare partner may handle fixed compensation, while Air Serbia-issued ticket refunds can follow a different route.

Must every family member file separately?

One person can often coordinate a family request, but every passenger and ticket should be identified. Authorisation or separate payment details may be requested for other adults.

What if I receive no Air Serbia reply within 60 days?

For a complete Serbian-procedure complaint, that can open the route to the Civil Aviation Directorate. Keep proof of the original submission and all later documents.
