flydubai compensation claim form and evidence checklist

Short answer: Use flydubai's official contact form for a claim concerning a flydubai-operated disruption, unless the booking or notice directs a more specific channel. Begin with route coverage: a departure from the EU or UK can qualify even though flydubai is a UAE carrier, while an own flight beginning in Dubai usually cannot. Attach the original ticket, operated by details, complete timeline, final-arrival proof and an itemised calculation for every passenger and expense.

Check your case in the form

Enter your route, date and type of disruption. We will check whether your case qualifies for a claim under EU 261/2004 or UK261.

Step 1 of 813% completed

What happened to your flight?

Claim up to €600 for a delayed or cancelled flight.

Choose the situation that applies to your flight:

Choose the subject by remedy, not by whichever form opens first

A fixed EU261 or UK261 claim concerns delay, cancellation or denied boarding. Ticket reimbursement, baggage and a general service complaint can use different subjects and evidence. If the form does not offer a named compensation option, select the closest disruption category and state the legal basis and requested remedy in the first paragraph.

Do not send a baggage PIR as the flight-compensation demand or ask an airport desk to decide a statutory claim orally. If an agent issued the ticket, it may process refund mechanics, while the operating carrier remains the usual addressee for fixed compensation. Record which party received each part.

Lead with a route-coverage sentence

Write: starting airport, final destination on the same booking, operating carrier and applicable framework. For example, identify an EU departure and flydubai operation before discussing Dubai. On a return from Dubai, do not claim European coverage solely because the outbound qualified. If UK261 applies, use its terminology and currency.

Attach the original itinerary, not only the replacement. Codeshare documents should show both marketing and operating carriers. If the airline identity is unclear, ask for confirmation and include the response. A correct coverage paragraph stops the claim being routed into a generic non-European rejection.

Turn the journey into a six-column timeline

Use one row per sector: planned flight, operator, scheduled time, actual door-open time, event and replacement. Add cancellation-notice delivery or denied-boarding time where relevant. For a missed connection, continue to the final destination. Cite the source of every timestamp.

Avoid a long diary without figures. Explain emotional impact after the legal facts, not instead of them. If a time is estimated, say why. Screenshots should retain date, route and source. Redact payment-card numbers and unrelated personal data but do not crop away the information that connects the record to the flight.

Use three schedules for money

Schedule one lists fixed compensation for each eligible passenger and the distance band. Schedule two identifies unused coupons if reimbursement was chosen. Schedule three contains actual expenses with date, supplier, purpose, currency and receipt number. A shared family hotel appears once. Do not add an inconvenience value to the receipt total.

If flydubai offered a voucher, attach its terms and state whether it was accepted. Disclose insurer payments against the same loss. Keep ticket price separate from EUR 250–600, which can exceed the fare. For a Dubai-origin journey outside European coverage, remove the fixed European sum and identify the contractual or local-law remedy requested.

Attachments should follow the claim, not fight it

Number files: 01 original booking, 02 e-ticket coupons, 03 boarding passes, 04 disruption message, 05 replacement, 06 arrival proof, 07 calculation and 08 receipts. Use searchable PDFs or clear images and keep within the portal's current size and format requirements. Merge pages only when readability remains intact.

Do not upload passwords, full card details or unnecessary passports. A representative should include a limited authority for the named passenger and flight. After upload, verify that every file appears. If the form fails, capture the error and time before using another official channel. Avoid multiple near-identical cases on the same day.

Seven steps to a verifiable flydubai claim

  1. Download the original booking, e-ticket coupons and all passenger names.
  2. Identify the operating carrier for every sector from operated by.
  3. Establish EU261, UK261 or another basis from the journey's starting point.
  4. Build the planned and actual timeline through the final destination.
  5. Separate fixed compensation, ticket reimbursement and documented expenses.
  6. Submit through flydubai's official channel or the correct operating carrier.
  7. Save the full sent version, timestamp, receipt and case number.

Ask a second reader to reproduce the route, event, final delay and total from the first page. Correct omissions before submission. If a mistake is found later, reply under the existing case with one clearly labelled correction.

A useful follow-up asks one answerable question

Compare flydubai's response with the actual flight, passengers and claim heads. If it says only “outside our control,” ask for the event, location, duration, causal link and mitigation. If it measures arrival in Dubai, restate the protected final destination. If it identifies Emirates as operator, verify the original ticket and redirect precisely where appropriate.

Keep a log with date, channel, recipient, case number and next action. Do not publish documents on social media to seek attention. Escalation should include the short dispute summary and organised evidence, not a raw mailbox export. Recheck applicable deadlines and the competent body for the departure country.

Keep the direct-claim period separate from legal limitation

flydubai's current conditions ask the passenger to submit directly and allow the airline 30 days, or a shorter period required by applicable law, to respond before third-party handling. Record that date and follow the live terms, but do not describe 30 days as the limitation period for court action or as a bar to taking legal advice.

Different departure states can impose complaint, ADR and litigation rules. Protect any shorter mandatory deadline even while flydubai is considering the file. If a representative later takes over, provide the first submission, receipt and full response history so the direct step is provable rather than filing a second conflicting version.

FAQ: frequently asked questions about this flydubai situation

Does flydubai have a specific EU261 form?

Use its current official contact or disruption channel and clearly identify the applicable regulation and remedy.

Is the booking reference enough evidence?

No. Add e-ticket coupons, operator, timeline, event proof, final arrival and the calculation.

Should I submit one total for the whole family?

Identify fixed compensation per passenger and list shared expenses once in a separate schedule.

What should I save after submission?

The complete text, every attachment, timestamp, delivery receipt, case number and subsequent replies.

Should an Emirates-operated sector be claimed from flydubai?

Check the disrupted sector's actual operator. A marketing FZ code does not make flydubai the physical carrier.
